Door County, Wisconsin

My best friend and I took a day trip up to Door County because neither of us had been up there in summer in quite awhile. We started by exploring Cave Point. Following the peninsula all around the Door County area.

We stopped on our way at a cute little café where we enjoyed breakfast bowls and smoothies. Mine was a coffee one and my friends was a matcha tea. Totally a cute place worth stopping for a quick bite to eat and a coffee.

We also stopped at a couple pull offs on the way up the peninsula.

We finished our trip with a stop at Wilson’s for Ice Cream, a must do if you visit Door County. We also stopped at the Hardy Gallery and views the artwork that was on display inside as well as the barn and the artwork of names on the outside. We stopped for another quick coffee pick me up at Skip Stone Coffee Roasters and I bought a bag of coffee beans to take home with me. We had a late lunch at Shipwrecked Brew Pub in Egg Harbor where we had Cherry Ale that was in season and burgers for lunch. It was a great place to stop and shop at the little stores around there. Finally on our way out we stopped at Door County Rock and Gem and picked up a few cute inexpensive gems that I currently have on my work desk. If you are into gems and rocks it is totally a worth while stop with lots to see and even lots to buy in all price ranges. Not to mention enjoying all of the beautiful butterflies in the garden as you walk in.
