Poetry Books for a Cozy Read

Here are a few of my favorite poetry books that I have read over the last year. Totally worth checking out either at your local library or purchasing for your collection!

The Sun and her Flowers is a great read by Rupi Kaur. I personally loved this poetry book. Rupi is very easy to read and relate to which is great. This book deals with growth and healing and that was something I could relate a lot to with the last year of my life.

Poetry books for a cozy read

Rupi Kaur talks about violence, abuse, love, femininity and loss. This book wasn’t as good as the Sun and Her Flowers to me personally but I do know this is one that has a lot of reviews online. It is still a wonderful book that had some very meaningful poetry in it. Totally worth reading.

This is another one of my favorites from Amanda Lovelace. The mystical aspect of this one is a great read as well. It is super easy and short reads for her poetry but it speaks to your soul.

This is another great book by Amanda Lovelace. It is about resilience and a woman being her own knight in shining armor in her life.

This one also speaks of women being supernaturally powerful, amazingly independent, and truly indestructible. Another great read if you want something that speaks to being an amazing woman.

This. Is. Women. Honestly Pierre Alex Jeanty has a way with words. This book is so beautiful about women and how amazing they truly are. If you are looking for a women empowering poetry book this is where it is at. There is also a sequel which I cannot wait to read!

Courtney Peppernell divulges into heart break, love, and emotions that are all entangled in liking, loving and losing someone you love. I loved how she separated out each sections based on the stages of relationships and feelings.

Amanda Lovelace is a great poet this book specifically relates to the relationship she had with her mother who has now passed away. I love the artwork in her new books the most and this one is one of those I loved the cover art of as well. I think it is a great read for a coffee break.

Another great book from Amanda Lovelace. Again I loved the artwork that was the cover and inside of this book. This book talks about being in a relationship that was not right for her. It involved abuse and she speaks a lot about the feelings with this. Being out of a relationship that lasted for twelve years I could relate to a lot of the things she talked of.
